Winter Blue

It is a joy to see blue sky again! This was shot about half an hour after sunset as the bitter cold was setting in. Daylight WB used with minimal increase in saturation. Foreground lightened with Lightroom shadow slider.

Flower in a Cup

This image was taken a couple weeks ago at Black Dog SNA.  The plant is a cup flower with unique leaves that form a cup at the stalk and collect water.  With the state fair in progress you have heard of everything available on a stick, this is a flower in a cup.

Patience

I like the balance produced by the upper left goose.  Waiting for beaks to get in alignment required some patience.  Nature photography is about patience.  We are always waiting for the wind to stop, waiting for the clouds to move, waiting for sunrise, waiting for the heads to turn; the list goes on and on.  Patience, patience, patience.
