This trail in the snow reminds me of one of my favorite quotations "Not all those who wander are lost." by J. R. R. Tolkien. This coyote was on a mission of survival in search of food.

Hot Springs Tracks

We are in Yellowstone for a few days to refresh after a long winter. One might ask why go to the mountains for more snow when spring is so close. the answer is simple, I like winter. However, this winter's temperatures have been a little rough on the morning get up and go. Each of us sees Yellowstone in a different light. I hope to show you my view of it over the next several postings.

Tracking Season

Stories made by tracks in the snow are fascinating.  This is one of the more unusual tracks which is a typical otter track.  Step, step, glide and repeat.  I wonder if the inventor of the skate board used the otter for his creation.
